Terms and refunds
The Rent Increase Notice Kit is a one-time payment. This is what it includes, when you get it and how to ask for a refund.
What the Rent Increase Notice Kit includes
- A rent increase letter filled in with the names, address and rents you type, ready to print or save as PDF.
- The earliest effective date for the new rent, calculated from the day you deliver the notice and your state's or city's written-notice rule.
- A cap check that warns you if the new rent is above the cap in our data.
- A checklist to go through before you send the letter, and how to deliver it where our sources say so.
- Calendar reminders (.ics file) for the delivery date and the effective date.
- The source links printed on the page, and a general-information notice.
The kit organizes public information. It is not legal advice and does not replace a lawyer, your lease or the rules of your city: the general answer for each state stays free.
Price and payment
Free today. While the kit is free there is no payment and no refund. After that the usual price applies.
The price is $3.90 (US dollars), one-time, with no subscription and no later charges. Stripe processes the payment on its own page: we never see or store your card.
Immediate delivery
When the payment is done you return to this site and the kit is created in your browser at once. What you type stays in your browser. If you save the letter as PDF or print it, that copy is yours.
Refunds
If the kit does not load or there is an error in the data for your state, we refund the amount. Write to [email protected] with the email you used to pay and your state.
